My Gayle Bradley held by Gayle Bradley!

Yesterday I got to meet several Texas Knifemakers at Cabellas. They were doing a seminar on sharpening and knife making, but I got the feeling most of the guys there were primarily interested in selling their knives. I got to see some coooool stuff, but I'd have to say my favorite was a small linerlock made by Gayle Bradley. Devin Thomas Mosiac Damascus modified warncliff blade bubble wrap pattern, Devin Thomas Mokume liners bubble wrap pattern w/ a greenish black stone inlay. Uggghhh... I'd have to rob a bank, but a fella can dream. Anyway, Gayle Bradley was very personable and friendly. He actually took my knife and admired it. Of course, he designed it, but it was still pretty cool. It's kinda like some people who get to meet a rock star. :D

I know how you feel. It's such moment that you will never forget. I got the same when i saw Sal for the first time in Amsterdam. So cool. I mean, you know him from pictures and some video's, and then you see him in real life. VERY cool indeed ;)

Speaking of rock stars, I met Ed Schempp recently at a Bladesports competition. There just aren't that many collecting hobbies where average people can have encounters like these.

Pretty cool Farmer. You need to carry a camera as well, or cell phone camera.

I met Warren Osborne a couple years ago at a BladeSports competition in Lebanon, MO...during the Shepherd Hills Celebration in the Ozarks. Going again this year....would be awesome if Mr. Schempp was attending this one.

Agree, Blade this year was pretty cool for me.
Worth the 2000 mile trip.
Shot the Sh_t with Ed, Sal, Eric, and tons of other folks for a few days.
It just cool meeting the folks in the business that makes these knifes happen. :D

I didn't realize that left field was that far.
