That is one handsome knife! I envy your ability to transform some wood you found into such a thing of beauty. Thanks for sharing!

Cheers!

Wow, lots of nice mods on here. You guys with the wood handles do some nice work. Suds, how did you get the inner workings to fit on your UKPK?

- best wishes, Jazz.

That was the hard part haha. Gotta think how to explain this, hmm. Alright so typically there is the backspring with the screw and then a larger whole on the back spring, and that whole fits on the formed notch. So instead of it being a out notch I carved into the wood from the inside of the scale on both scales, then i carved a small piece of wood to fit through the larger whole in the backspring and rest in the notch i carved in the handles and wallah there you have it

I flat topped the bottom Persistance and made the back of the blade straight. Pictured with a regular Persistence. It's almost like a Paramilitary. I want to try this on a Resilience when I pick up another one.

Used a peanut butter jar, some rocks from the driveway and some soap and water and alot of shaking.

I used some ferric acid to etch the blade on my Manix 2 to darken it and then shook it some more. Had to resharpen it all again but I think it looks better.

A foliage green G10 Endura (discontinued) handle with a FFG ZDP-189 blade from an FRN handled Endura, G10 Enduras came with FFG VG10 blades. ;)

(You can't just mix and match different model parts, re-tooling would be required.)
