I really have no idea but i figure stock knives have a better chance making it.
But that is a very good question.

Wow, super cool picture! I like the orange one, it really stands out and also blends in really well with the peppers. Great pic.

Is that the Dragonfly or the Ladybug Salt? I just ordered a yellow Ladybug Salt.

I think that the picture of the dyed one looks better, but don't get me wrong, the yellow one looks good too.

PERFECT dye job! That looks fantastic.

I'm assuming you started with yellow not white.

Can you please let me know what dye you used and how long it soaked? Any other help would be much appreciated.

Was it Rit? Cherry red? Mandarin Orange? Sunshine Orange? Something else? Powder or liquid?

P.S. I am another orange addict...love all of those orange threads on the various forums.

Thanks!

I used Sunshine orange RIT, (powder). These where yellow.
Be sure to clean the whole knife really well to remove any oils..
Just heat water in the microwave for 3min and add about 2 table spoons of RIT to the water, (i use a mason jar) and keep it stirred and soak for anywhere from 15-30. It really depends on whichever knife you are doing, because I have done 3 different yellow salts in the same batch and have gotten 3 different shades.

Nice pics - thanks for sharing. You can submit any Spydie picture - modded or not. That's what the rules say, and that's pretty nice, but it's up to you.

- best wishes, Jazz.

I char all my veggies well on the grill for salsa before blending and adding garlic salt. Do you do the same? It looks like one thing is missing though, where's the onion?

Nice dye job and awesome pic of the Spydie H1 Salt.

I roast my bell peppers, garlic, and peppers. I use fresh red onions and raw garlic as well. I even like to add a splash of fresh orange juice to even it out.
