I would love to get a handle etc... to complete this blade ,but am pretty sure it would be near impossible as the "Q" has not been produced for such a long time!!!

I believe that is the company that cut all the Q blades.
We would rather be the knife in your pocket, because is "works" better, than the knife in your showcase, because it "looks" better.

from 2002
Joyce Laituri wrote:GBC was/is a laser vendor for Spyderco. They special ordered an exclusive batch of GBC "Q"s for their business and employees.

Specialty "Q"s ordered from us were always exclusive, meaning Spyderco did not sell them to anyone but the company placing the order. Boxer93, this means your "Q" originally came from GBC.

Ryan,
Nice find on that old post. The odd thing is over the years I've think I've seen more blades than complete knives for GBC. SSB for more Q info you can check my sig line.

Cool & very interesting!
I work in an outdoor store as a gunsmith here in Mount Pearl, Newfoundland & am a long time Spyderco lover!
I managed to get the store i work in to start carrying Spyderco knives & sharpeners & our first order arrived a couple of weeks ago!
As i always carry at least one Spyderco & have a sharpmaker close by at all times ,when the conversation of knives comes up ,guess what come out of my pocket!
A liitle while ago a guy who came in to buy some fishing gear & guess what he had with him?
You guessed it a Spyderco,it was a large Tim Wegner, a little loose in the lockup & pretty dull. I put an edge back on it & we talked a bit.
He told me he lived in Golden a number of years ago & as a kid was doing some( Possibly yard work) work for a gentleman who may have worked for Spyderco.
That is where he got the Wegner & the blades.
He said thanks for the sharpening & that he would bring in the blades when he came in again.
He came back a month or so later & that is how i got them!
Hoping when he returns again that i can get him into a newer model with better lock up!
regards,SSB

The show up on eBay from time to time. Right now there is a seller with un-ground cut blanks for sale.

Love the flag one and the volcano one. They're all pretty cool though.
