As of last week, none of my usual dealers were taking pre-orders yet. Pre-orders have come and gone at Howe's and Bento Box just started taking them. I don't see any way this is out yet.

Looks like you will be slammed, I now see the expected delivery for some are 6/22 but of course that can always change.

The Ayoob is out soon too? Is that a sprint? This is going to get expensive.

Spyderco has both the ayoob and the lum on their site for sale at msrp as of last night when I checked, so yeah, looks like both are out. And yes, both are sprints...

Is anyone else a bit put off by the cost of this one? Yes I know that it is a collaboration, and a sprint...but it is still just VG-10 and G-10.

I would have a hard time spending $250 for it, but Howe's had it for $162 or something close to that. Fair price I think for a 4" limited folder made in Japan. I think the COO isn't helping us here, but I guess the other Lums are made there already, so they just decided to have them done there.

MSRP is only 30 bucks more than the Police3 (which is comparable in size and materials). I'd call that the collab/sprint tax. Seems fair. If you got a preorder in, it will probably be in your pocket for the 150-175$ range. The only new knife price that put me off this year was the Lionspy... still can't figure out how that is worth 500$. Different strokes for different folks I guess.

I think that one is b/c it's being manufactured by Lionsteel, so it's getting similar pricing to their SR-1.
