UKPK or Urban

#1

Post by bowarrow2000 »

I've gotten the fever for a new blade and have narrowed it down to a UKPK (G10 version) or the Urban. I have had a UKPK but sold it. Great knife and regretted selling it. Now the Urban measures a little under the UKPK with VG10 instead of S30V, both great steels. How is the fit and finish of the Urban compared to the UKPK. If you have comparison pictures would like to see them.
Thanks in advance.

I love my ukpk, but I just cant get used to the wharnecliff so I dont really like the urban. The leaf shape blade may be a different story though. The fit and finish is darn near exact. I just prefer the golden made spydercos over japan. Good luck on picking one! Youll probably end up with both like me though ;)

Hello Bowarrow. I don't have a UKPK, but my Urban has been a favorite in pocket or watch pocket knife for some time. F&F is superb :D . It has a nice strong spring and feels as safe as any locking folder. With the choils it has a superb grip. Whenever I pick it to use it just screams quality :) You pay for it of course but the quality and design is most definitely there. I would recomend one in a heartbeat :)

I like the Urban, it's my Sunday knife.
Am shy of my UKPK, not sure of a blade that long with no lock.
