Spyderco Military blade opening force problem

#1

Post by Penge »

I have an Millie /G10-S30V type/ and I have a problem: I can't to adjust the opening force of the blade. I disassembled the knife, but it's not to fail.

If somebodey can help for me I'd be very happy!

Do you want to know how to properly adjust the pivot screw so that the knife doesn't wiggle or opens harder or easier?

I think my KnifeWorks Ti/M4/RIL Millie has this issue. The ball detent doesn't seem to be smooth enough and is starting to scratch a groove into the blade. When I (carefully) prevent the lock from contacting the blade, the blade moves smoothly and easily.

Ira

Sounds like the pivot screw is cranked down too hard.
