Ok, you guys have inspired me. Ordered the stuff for the handles. Red/black G10, red liners, black micarta rod to pin it, stainless lanyard tubing. Oh, and a couple of different colors of laminated wood for the next ones. Will post pictures when it gets here.

Was almost going to get a woodcraft, then decided to get the Mule Team 9. Do any of you have both the woodcraft and mule team? Which do you prefer as far as ergonomics and blade shape?

I only have one on each, but I prefer the handle on the woodcraft because it has a choil. I prefer the FFG of the regular mule. It's a better slicer. The woodcraft is hollow ground and a bit shorter than the regular mule. I think it's going to be a tougher knife because of that.

I have & enjoy both.
For me, the Woodcrafter is a little more useful design between the two.
But will continue to buy any blank Sal puts out.
Have at least 20 Mules in box's. Plan to have some fun making scales when I retire in 2016. Might have quite a few by then...... LOL LOL

I finally got one, and built a little sheath for it...

Have not put handles on it, but at least this way I can keep it from cutting me to ribbons...

Kind Regards,

I bought the Woodcraft Mule and Transparent Blue Plexiglass. This will be my first attempt at making handles for a knife. I thought Plexiglass would be cool to try.

Wow. Nice work Ultra! That's a real beauty.

I've got one of my Woodcraft Mules left without scales. I'm thinking about taking a shot at my first CF scales - got a good deal on some BlackSite CF slabs over the holidays.
