I hope that I didn"t get the last one, or even worse, I hope that the order before me didn't get the last one. That's more my luck.
Well, that's the email I got from them.

I'm always surprised at how an apparently large knife begins to seem smaller after using it for some time.

I've always thought the Millie would be too large, but I'm sure once I add one to the collection it will become acceptable :D

Had a 440V (S60V) back in 1999. Lost it, found it again last month in a nice trade. Within a week I found a second one, BNIB; that very special CF/S90V. I really love that last one. For now I continue hunting the sprints: D2, the upcoming XHP and when available on the second hand market the Ti-G10/M4. Bring 'em one!

As stated the slim line and the weight is marvellous, while the potential of the knife is huge.

I recently re-added a Military to my collection - I was fortunate enough to get a Ti/G10 with M4 blade steel.

I sold my S30V digicam G10 some time ago - not sure why I did that - may have to pick another one up.

I also picked up my first para in S30V.

I was reminded that any serious knife enthusiast should have at least one Military in their collection.

As a follow up, The Cutlery Shoppe was out of the Digi Millie. However, Jeff Loffer sent me an email explaining and giving me the option of keeping as a backorder, cancelling or replacing with something else. I opted to keep the order. As painful as it is, I can wait.
Jeff, seems to be a great guy and The Cutlery Shoppe is a top notch company in my book. I have heard good things about CS on here before, and have always received my orders from there in a prompt timeline.
Hopefully, Spyderco will get caught up on some of their Golden knives. I get all spyders, but have a fondness for the Golden ones.

Howe's has them in stock now for a few dollars more (but their prices include shipping), if you get tired of waiting.

I usually try to buy from CS first but if what I want is out of stock/on backorder there, then I usually turn to Howes. Both of these dealers provide excellent service, imo.

Hey does anyone know when the Millie or other Golden knives are going to be shipped out. I noticed that there are a number of Golden spyders on backorder, especially at CS, where I like to do business. Just curious if anyone has heard anything.

I think a big part of the reason so many models are always on backorder at CS is because there are so many unfilled orders for many popular knives at CS, so that when he gets a shipment of, e.g., Para 2's, from Spyderco, they are rarely enough units in the shipment to fill all the pre-existing orders they already have. So despite receiving the shipment from Spyderco, the knife is still going to show as being on backorder because they didn't get sufficient units to fill all the back orders for a given model that are waiting to be filled. And this is pretty much the status quo at CS for many popular models, so you have to be prepared to put your order in, get on the list, and be patient if you want to buy backordered models at CS.

I like to shop CS too as my first choice but if I get tired of waiting, I can usually find the knife I was trying to get in stock at Howes for not very much more money. And Howes ships super fast too. Their listed prices include shipping.
