Where do you keep your knives?

#1

Post by Rutgrr »

Right now, my Spydies sit on my desk.

Just wondering where everyone keeps their knives, including your Spyderco's? Do you keep it in a case? sitting on a shelf? in the original boxes? If you keep it in some kind of case/bag, can you recommend one?

Thanks.

My wife bought a antique wardrobe cabinet at a garage sale and gave it to me as me.

My knives go in a toolbox with multiple sections and over time i collect those little silica packets and place them in there, to prevent any rust.

I really need to organize mine better. I actually carry and use most of them, so they're kind of scattered around in drawers, on my desk, in Spyderpacs, in cabinets, in closets, in my pockets. My collection grew too fast for me to keep up.

I have them hanging on thumbtacks on my bulletin board. The spyderhole is perfect for hanging them from the tacks.

Rutgrr, I see what you are up to. You are planning to find out where we live and exactly where to look when you break it to take the treasure! Some people make your life easier by hanging boxes on the wall for easy removal. I'll go one better. My dog loves bacon so bring bacon snack treats to my house. My knives are spread out where they need to be when I use them (my pocket, toolbox, toolbelt, etc.) so you will have to look around in my house. Wake me up when you get here. We'll have a beer and I'll help you look. :D

I want to get one of those roll-up cloth cases. I found one for $15 that looks ok. It isn't a Spyderpak but should work.

All over the place. My 4 most carried are on my night stand. Then there's a few in the living room, one or two in the truck, one in the work van, one in my grab-n-go bag, one in my lunch cooler, one in my pocket. Some are still in their box inside of another box from the last time we moved. My son has a collection of about 30 ladybug and dragonfly sized knives, 10 of them ladybugs and dragonflies, in a shadow box we made with a plexiglass cover.

Everywhere!

Seriously, they are in my desk, in my dresser, in the kitchen, in the living room, in the car, in the garage, in my wife's purse :) and of course - in my pocket!

I used to keep them in their boxes, stacked up in my gun safe, but now I have a few here and there.....kind of like having a firearm in each room of your house, Lol. And I always have a Spyder in my pocket.... ;)

Haha, I'll be sneaky and wake you up with a feather to your nose. Oh whats that? You have shaving cream in your hand ;)

Yeah, I'll probably end up getting one of the roll ups. I was searching to see if where were knife boxes but not really finding any.

I've tried some of the roll-up knife storage cases, but they seem to be made for much thinner knives. I found that most Spydercos are far to wide to fit properly.
