Love the thin, light weight and beautiful carbon fiber of the original. It's the only liner lock I have kept!

The Sage I is a frequent choice for office/dress knife... in my opinion, it's one of the best looking users possible at its pricepoint.

I guess you could break it down to what handle material you like best and what lock since those are the only real differences in them. I have a Sage 3 myself and really like it.

Sage 1 hands down.
out of all the sages it has the best handel material and blade steel out of them all.
