Well it is not an EDC kind of knife. Don't think it is a price issue either.

Old pic but it should hold you over for now

We would rather be the knife in your pocket, because is "works" better, than the knife in your showcase, because it "looks" better.

My understanding is that the Civilian was designed specifically for a particular kind of self-defense regime and is quite impractical for EDC or many uses outside self-defense, so I am guessing that not many were made/sold. It remains an exceptional piece of design and I'm sure that many people would love to own one ... but it would probably only appeal to MBCer's and serious Spyderco collectors :)
My spydies: Squeak, Tenacious, Terzuola, D'Allara, UKPK CF peel-ply pre-production, UKPK CF smooth pre-production, UKPK G10 orange leaf-blade, UKPK FRN grey drop-point, UKPK FRN maroon leaf-blade, Bug ... all PE blades :)

Is that one of the hand made Civilian trainers made by Lynn Lassiter?

I don't know who made it but I had it for years.

It's a knife that most people buy just to collect. Most sit in their boxes and are never used or carried.
