Boker used to make a strange reverse-assist knife. It was an assisted closer knife. You slid one scale off at an angle to allow the thumb to push the blade out, AGAINST spring pressure (remove thumb and blade retracts). Once fully extended you squeezed the scale back in alignment, and it 'locked' the blade in place. (ETA: just looked it up. It is the Boker-matic Plus, and per the definitions in that customs doc, it would seem to be 'legal'.)
Not Forgotten:
LCpl. John Dewey Killen III
MSgt. Timothy Roy Bodden

Don't the sun look angry through the trees?
Don't the trees look like crucified thieves?

Tough new graffiti laws.

S/F,
CEYA!
Not in all States and it is discretionary on the part of LE - but if you've ever had to clean grafitti off a building you'd be wishing for a heftier fine

tonydahose wrote:first off, welcome Nikki, sorry about the knife that was confiscated. i am a fireman in Chicago. if fixed blades are easy to get into your country i would recommend a spyderco jumpmaster.
Ahhh - but the Jumpmaster could possibly have its top edge sharpened so under Aust Customs Regulations it can be classed as a dagger. I don't think people outside of Australia realise just how idiotic our laws and their interpretation have become

I have just applied for permits to import a Warrior and Jumpmaster - be interesting to see if I get the OK
