I tried to resist, but at under $88 shipped, my willpower evaporated and now I've got a Chokwe on the way. Too bad they don't have the Balance for 60% off too!

Same here, I had the chance for a Rocklobster and hesitated. I guess I wasn't prepared mentally since I never thought about getting one before. I can say, though, that a Chokwe is on the way! :D

My Chokwe showed up today. I was surprised that the production date was August 2009 (HI), as that must mean their stock has hung around quite a while. I was doubly surprised that it has CC#010 on the box and blade. Amazon didn't strike me as being a CC member. While I don't actively seek out CC# and tend to not like them as much, I'm not going to complain at the price I paid. Knife is razor sharp, has very smooth action, and feels great in hand. It is slightly larger than I had imagined, but I don't mind. The build quality is superb, as I've come to expect from Taiwan. Wish I would have ordered another at this price.

I love Spydercos but the Lobster just looks wrong. Anso/Boker Haddock and Cox got that maritime vibe going bigtime.
