Interesting that Spyderco released some of the old models six months later after it was admitted that there have been design changes in the interim.Ankerson wrote:Got mine in today from KC, dated GJ, that's July 2010.
Paramilitary 2-Availability?
I have no idea whether this is right or not, but I was wondering whether it was NOS at the dealer? It's not too uncommon for old inventory to surface and get sold. That could explain that date, too. But that's just a theory.

It could be a lot of things like maybe in Spyderco's warehouse and some got shipped out with the newer ones.JNewell wrote:I have no idea whether this is right or not, but I was wondering whether it was NOS at the dealer? It looks like the modifications on the Para-2 it might very well give you a slight advantage in operation with an out-of-the-box knife.
I was one of those who got an early Para2 that was somewhat difficult to disengage with one hand. I now feel like an idiot for even sharing my opinions –on this board– about this issue. It didn't take long for the knife to break-in and function perfectly.
I just hope Sal/Eric and crew trust their own collective knowledge more than they trust well intended but sometimes short-sighted opinions.

Hey guys,
Here's my first post! I just bought this knife for $40 more than this website is pricing off ebay. Impulse buying FTL.
I emailed this website and thought they had a website error since I couldn't add it to my cart. However, I was wrong. If you're interested, this store has 5 in stock for $106.

Just got mine yesterday. I signed up to be notified from GP when they get in stock. On the 29th, I get the email in the morning, place my order in the afternoon, and by the evening they were all sold out. :p
What an amazing knife this is! Lockup is rock solid, blade is perfectly centered, action is dead smooth. I honestly can't think of one flaw in this design. They did everything brilliantly and for under $110, the quality level is astounding! ... :D
