I went with the saber ground zdp-189 because I want the blade a bit stronger than the FFG. Mine will go hunting with me and who knows what I will be cutting. FFG's are great ( I have few) but I treat them more like a finger nail cleaner.

FFG= strong. Saber grind= stronger.
If your cutting into stuff like food,cardboard,etc the FFG is the way to go. I like I little more steel on the blade for my EDC so I most of the time go with saber grind. I cut mostly weedeater string,rope,plastic wrap, hunt, so the the saber works great for me.

Also: are there any good knives to consider for under 65 dollars?
The Delica in flat grind should do well for basic daily use. That would be my first choice. If you intend to pound on it, go with saber grind. The Native is great too. The Tenacious/Persistence is another great budget priced knife to look at. The Salt series are worth a look as well. All can be had for <$65.
So many knives, so few pockets... :)
