One question, these pictures make it look like the scale is smooth, will the final scales be textured?

They are smooth but no problem with grip on this knife. Someone who has handled the prototype did a review on it. I will have to dig that up.

That makes it somewhat interesting, the Red Persian has polished G-10 scales on it.

Also, I read the review but I didn't notice that part.

Looks awesome, I know I swore off getting more knives recently, but I did put my name down for one and will be splurging on this. :) I think it's really cool that the scales are smooth.

Whoaaa....just realized that blade is Carpenter steel. Is that what the sprint is really going to be made of? If so I'm going to probably get more than one if I can, that steel is awesome.
