Para 2 has surprised me the most. I sold my original Para a couple of tees ago from lack of use. curiously as soon as I got the Para 2 it went into my pocket immediately. It ha displaced almost all my usual EDCs including my much loved Kopa, Persian and Millies !!! I know !!!
So for me the breakthrough knife for 2010 from my own perspective has to be the Para 2. There are so many to choose from though, but none have captured me more in the last 12 months.

IMO The Gayle Bradley M4 wins this one hands down.

Agreed!SirIsaacNewton wrote:I know it wasn't produced in 2010 but it ages like a fine wine Caly 3 CF ZDP-189. I would crush this knife and snort it if it was possible.
God knows mine has been in one too many of my veins.

I vote for the Bradley in CPM M4. IMO, it's a knife that not only is darn near perfect in it's precision and quality, but it's underpriced for such a knife. Despite being broke I had to get two of them when I could. Not as a safekeeper, but a " pre need replacement" as Jack says.
In any other year the M4 millie, the Ti Sage RIL, or the Paramillie could take it. In fact, the Schemp in red, or G10 are up there too.
We also saw the Bushcrafter which I love in G10, and some really interesting mules.
It's truly amazing. I had promised myself not to starve myself buying knives in 2010 but the knives have gotten so good I can't really pass them up.
To be honest, the new Byrd's in FFG, particularly the Cara Cara are better than any non custom knives I could buy when young in the early 70's, and 80's until Spyderco, then later benchmade came along and raised my expectations on what I'd buy and carry. Heck, they cost less than a Buck 110 did in the 70's when not on sale.
2011 looks pretty darn impressive too. I'm not going to make any oaths about not buying knives, but I'm going to do my best. I see some already I really want in the sprint section and I'm saving.

M4 Mille
The M4 Military has been my knife of 2010. I have been carrying the BG-42 Military for 3 years now and nothing has knocked it out of my pocket until the M4 Military. Although to be fair it only knocked the BG-42 military out because I got lucky and came up with a 2nd M4 Military and I only have one Bg-42.
The CTS-XHP Manix 2 and the S90V-Paramilitary 2 are great knives but they don't feel the same as the Military in my hand. So they fall a little short in my mind.
I still have not purchased a Gayle Bradley. So I can not compare it.
