No surprise that the G10 Persian will be my next puchase.
Other than that though the Dyad sprint is the only other must have for me.
I'd definitely be adding the XHP Millie to that list if only it was available fully serrated.
This happens to me every year. I say I'd like "one or two of the new offerings," but as the months pass, I talk myself into additional models as I think up good justifications to fend off my wife's lack of understanding as to why someone needs "so many knives." This year: The Chinese Folder in G-10, and the Blue Manix2. How cool are they!?!
There's really so many knives I want but only a couple I can afford in the near future.
The Mini Persian is at the top of the list. I love Ed's designs and am working towards collecting them all. I've held off picking up the Large Persian because I know I won't carry it that often. The overall weight and size of the Mini makes it a definite candidate in my EDC rotation.
The Navaja is another must-buy for me because it's a Schempp design. It's also part of my own cultural history (my mother is Puerto Rican who has ancestors that come from Spain).
The Sage 3 Bolt Action is another one I will pick up. I love the Sage series and am really eager to try out the new lock mechanism. Who knows, this may be the knife that ousts the Caly 3 as my primary EDC Spydie.
The ones that interest me but are not definite-buys:
The sprint run Para 2 CTS C20p has my eye. I had a Para 2 a while back and sold it. I've kind of regretted it ever since. I'd like to have a Spydie I dedicate to hard-use and this may fit that role nicely.
The Dragonfly 2. I've always wanted to pick one up but the lack of jimping and FRN-molded clip were big turn offs. All of that has been corrected with the new model. And I'm a sucker for wire clips.
The Lightweight Manix 2. I have yet to use a CBBL Spydie for extended use. The weight of the other Manix models is a turn off for me. The addition of a full flat grind is also a big plus for me. That blue FRN is sweet too. I'm still waiting to see which steel is used (154cm or CTS-BD1) and the final price point. If I have some extra funds next year, I may just have to pick one up.
As far as non-knife material, I'm eager to pick up a Spyderco beanie. It's getting pretty cold up in NY. :D
Here's what I'm most excited about getting, in order from very excited to slightly less excited.
