Shamelessly bumping this to keep up interest (hopefully).

I agree with the dark blue G10. Something like a dark navy blue or LAPD blue to blend in with uniform pants.

Needs to be something new - not just the normal black g10.

I vote for vg10, combination blue/black g10 scales with light scalloping or contouring to show off the color variations.

ps: waved would be cool as well (or maybe w/ enough steel so it could be waved by us...)

I'd like to see micarta instead of G-10 for the handle, but if an Ayoob sprint comes out, I'd likely get it no matter the handle as long as it's priced right. And possible to find -- so many recent sprint runs seem to have been made in quantities far too small for the demand.
Newest :spyder: in hand: Halloween Handle Hap40 Endura and Delica.

We're discussing a sprint run. G-10 pee ply scales with skeletonized liners instead of the aluminum used before.

If it doesn't involve too much extra time & expense, a 4-way clip, like the JD Smith sprint, would be wonderful.

I'm an admirer of Spyderco's designs. Using them is like immersing yourself in music or studying a painting in a museum. I buy some "fine" art but my preference is for usable art.

Yep - never saw this knife before this thread. It reminds me of the Catcherman in some odd way. I would take one in p.e if released (but seeing how popular sprint runs are getting, being able to get hold of one outside the US might be an issue).

Didn't read every post, but thought I'd throw in my $.02 as a former owner.
Just recently let mine go because I did not enjoy carrying it at all.
The serrations on the hinge side of the thumb hole go all the way to the side of the blade and make the draw more difficult than need be (in blue jeans, anyway). Maybe a chamfer or radius at the end of these serrations?

Or a clip set up for 4 way, tip up carry would solve any snagging issues completely. :D

As a new guy I'll throw in my 2 cents --- first , i'll buy one no matter what the final design is. But , i'd like to have the grips with more texture --- I love almost everything about the one I already own but as its my ONLY Ayoob , I just can't bring myself to putting "skate tape" on it or modding it out in much any other way.

Dark Navy G-10 would be great looking. VG-10, S30V or pretty much whatever steel you decide to use is good for me. Can't wait.

4 way requires a new design and new tooling. We've rather put the extra cost into a new model rather than a sprint of an older model.
