I will definitely be getting one as soon as available. I watched the youtube and the improvements are great. Can't wait. Hope it is out in time to use during camping this summer.

I wish Sal would at least clue us in to the colors it will be offered, assuming that he knows himself.

I remember Sal's thread asking for advise on this and he incorporated many of the items that were mentioned. The three big things for me that will cause me to buy it:

1. The contouring that eliminates the jagged rear blade "hump"
2. The slightly longer blade--I like that because for me the Military is way too big but this brings the para closer to the Mily's heavier duty characteristics.
3. The 4 clip ositions and making it a deeper carry.

I will buy one......

I traded my Para away when I saw the video of this knife. It seems to have solved any problems I had with my Para. Mainly the lack of tip-up carry (which then made the tang sticking out a problem when reaching into the pocket). I definitely plan to pick one up as soon as I can. I wonder if they plan to come out with an orange version???

Paramilitary 2 is destroying me

The idea of a Para 2 in G-10 and CTS-XHP has invaded my dreams and made me daydream during work.

Is this Eric Glesser's re-design or is it still Sal's? Who's sign will be on it? Please don't make it a sprint run where only 15 dealers buy all 1000 of them leaving the rest of us with blue b*lls.

Man, these guys (spyderco) are screwing the pooch w/ the Para 2 taking so long and not being released sooner! Have they ever heard of a little thing called CHRISTMAS?!?! These dolts will miss out on all the frenzied holiday consumerism. Then again, I suppose they theorize that anyone wanting one of these, will still purchase it after x-mas, b4 x-mas, next year, when my hair falls out and I got gray in me beard or anytime they decide to do it...I mean Ive heard of pushing peoples anticipatory buttons and all, but how long does it take to make a factory knife (that people are salivating for, btw). Id really like one, but Im almost ready to just "bite the blade" and by a different knife.
C'mon "Glesser Boys"--get yer S@$T together! ; you're not making a gd hydrogen bomb or prosthetic limb for Christs sake, ITS A POCKET KNIFE for lonely, depressed dorks, add ridden man-children. Lets see it, alreadddyyy!!!!

You come here and register, search out an old thread, and cut and paste your thoughts on this into three different threads?  :(

The Orange models make it so much easier to find on the on the ground, in your bag, when it falls off the night stand, etc. Not a major concern of mine, but you can have a huge knife in public as long as it's Orange (or Pink).
