Please take a look at the pictures and guess the implications.

Am I crazy? Are any of you crazy like me?

I didn't read to the bottom at first, I just read the title and was looking at the pictures. Given that, was I the only one who was trying to find the correlation between the placement of the knives and their locations on the periodic table?

I don't have any of the Slip-its yet; I'm not restricted here so I just don't have the reason to get one. So I won't even offer an opinion.

See a couple issues which may, or may not, come into play. Baby Horn was a collaboration model, so Jess Horn's permission would definitely be needed to re-issue it in any form. Not sure, but since the Baby Horns were AG Russell exclusives, AG's blessings might be needed as well. Finally what would it bring to the table that the Grasshopper doesn't offer?

I did the same thing, but couldn't figure out how Spyderco could build a hydrogen-powered manganese slip-joint.

I thought you were implying that you were thinking of putting that clip onto your SS Kiwi slip-it :)

I'm going to put a clip on my kiwi. Yes, this is true.

I have no clue what implications are being implied. If it is about the clip on the SS Kiwi i'd be all for it....

I think he is asking for model variations of these two knives using H-1 steel, isn't it?

Can't be bothered to think ... a heavy cold is getting in the way of brain activity :D If the OP explains himself properly then I'll give it another try ;)

I think that your knives are unlikely to do your chemistry homework.

Manganese is a lousy handle material.

What is being proposed and why not just put your proposal in the OP?

Blade swap?

My take, based on what was originally posted, was that he was suggesting the Baby Jess Horn as a possible candidate for re-issue as a SlipIt.

I think the OP is implying the his sharpening skills are such the he is now capable of initiating a nuclear detonation and is now holding the world hostage.
Not nice, not nice at all, sir.

I'm thinking alloy elements????? I'm no metallurgist. Mybe a different steel on the knives?? one which include cobalt as well as the others...still puzzled and may be way off base.......Come on solidstate what are we looking at here????

Vanadium, Chromium, Molybdenum, Iron and Cobalt seem to be covered, all alloying elements.....I'll sleep on this puzzle :)

While I'm not Einstein I'm not stupid and I have no clue what the intended implications are. Hopefully someone will 'splain it fairly soon.
