We believe the current Ladybug is the best so far. There are some that preferred the hump of the Jester, but not enough to support the Jester model on it's own. So the current Lady bug is really a Jester with a straight spine and a pointy tip.

We do have a "beefier" version in-the-works. It's the same length as the Ladybug, but thicker and wider in blade and handle shape. Essentially just a tougher version. It will have a flat ground blade, but with the thicker blade stock, it will be stronger.

We'll have a bolstered version to test the pattern, then we'll make an FRN version. It's called the "ManBug".

This sounds like an LBK that actually could find its way to/on my keyring.... :)

manbug?! nice! manbug hawk?! nicer!

put me down for several. and i think your wrong about the jester. the demand is out there. just look at aftermarket sales for the old school color jesters. hundreds and hundreds dollars to get the whole set and all the colors and edges. i think people need something new. well i guess modify the current ladybugs, which is being done. either way im sure it will be cool and successful!

Posted by Sal on Bladeforums, in response to a request for an H-1 Ladybug hawkbill.
Hi Bd51,

I have a serrated yellow Ladybug hawkbill Salt in front of me. It's the proto for a regular production piece.

Never heard of the "Ambitious" before, I figured it might belong here (tell me if I'm wrong):

Carpenter's CTS-XHP is more of a stainless D2, as mentioned, than an alternative to S30V. I believe that Carpenter is working on an alternative to S30V.

XHP is scheduled to come in shortly so we'll see more models in the market with this steel.

So it looks like we have more knives to look forward to made out of CTS-XHP. :D Thanks Sal!

I'm in for both. Hawkbug thing and the Yo. Throw in a Dodo and I'm gold for the year. Unless you release a new Chinook?
