What's your favorite fully serrated spyderco?

#1

Post by decoy5657 »

Looking to buy my 2nd (Delica FFG plain edge being #1) Spyderco. I'd like a fully serrated version... I want something bigger than the Ladybug... but not too big for an EDC/Boot knife. :spyder:

I'm running a Salt I SE right now as my edc and LOVING it. It scratches a little easy but I used a bit of polish on the blade and it cleaned up a little. I was clearing some dead vines with it off the side of the house this week and that cause most of the scratches but the H1 edge is holding up awesome and saws through that stuff like nothing.
Too many Spydies to list!

I tend to like serrations on hawkbill or reverse-s blades like the Harpy or Civilian. But, I've been strongly considering a SE Salt 1 lately.

The Salt 1 looks good. I've never understood the blades on knives like the Civilian. Seems extreme... I think the Hawkbill would be good for cutting vines, rope, limbs from zombies, etc.

I love my aqua salt in SE, but it isn't an edc. I also love my dragonfly, but I find myself using my modded delica SE more often than anything else.

Yeah, the whole point of the Civilian is to be extreme, an extremely effective defensive tool. :)

My favorite SE knife is the Tasman salt. A little bigger than the Ladybug would be a Dragonfly. Check out the new Dragonfly 2 in SE. But IMO the SE Tasman is the shiiiiz.

For me, my two favorite SE :spyder: s (I can't leave it at just 1!) are--
  • C54BMS Calypso
  • C40S Viele I
Both not only had that wicked serration pattern, but were absolutley gorgeous designs to show those teeth off.

The Cricket SE is the most functional EDC spydie I've ever used.

The C60 Massad Ayoob is also great in SE due to the belly and negative blade angle, its a pull cutting monster.

But as long as the scallops are not too spikey, all SE spyderco's are pretty fun to use.

The flat ground Police with serrations is a personal favorite of mine! Either the earlier G-10 variant or the Police 3, has to be flat ground though.

Has to be the yellow Aqua Salt, although the Caspian goes with me quite a bit too.

hey folks,
i'll have to agree with vader, the g10 harpy i got is one of my favorite users. nothing can outperform it at work cutting nylon packaging straps, opening boxes and cutting cardboard.
my se viele is another of my favorites.
a d1 se was my first spydie, and it served as my edc for years.
later,
don

Serrated??? Millie and Para, Manix2, Caly3, Tasman Salt, D'fly... Out of the ones I own, I believe my favorite is the Millie, as usual, but all of them get carried.

That military is pure awesome. I really want that one! But the H1 or Dragonfly 2 are more in my range. Dragonfly being a little too small maybe.

I'm really liking the new Dragonfly 2 SE.

My ATS-34 Military. One reason it's my favorite SE is because it has a full 1" of PE at the tip, enough to make it very versatile.
Our reason is quite satisfied, in 999 cases out of every 1000 of us, if we can find a few arguments that will do to recite in case our credulity is criticized by someone else. Our faith is faith in someone else's faith, and in the greatest matters this is most the case.

The police model, old generation:

And the civilian:

But I like my rookie full serrated, my native, or my salt.
In fact, I like all the serrated Spydercos :D
