Yes, I purchased a street best not too long ago as well, its amazing how much blade you can get and have a small handle to go along with it, so its compact, yet it feels so balanced... Like an extension of my Hand! :)

Usless?
I have absolutly no use for this knife,
I bought it,
I hold it,
I love it.
Many popular designs are made even more popular with a "mini" version. In the case of the Street Beat, I think it could stand to grow an inch.

I have just started getting into fixed blades over the last month or so. Never really used them before. I grabbed a few Mora's and liked them. Grabbed a Helle and liked them more. Then I just got a Blind Horse Bushcrafter and loved it. Thinking I might have to give a Street Beat a try.
Would really like to see Spyderco take another run at a Bushcraft type blade that's flat ground. Maybe someday.

I agree but I wish that were true....seems like all collabs with custom makers come to an end at sometime...so I wouldn't wait too long before getting one for sure.....Doc :D
"We have no plans to disco the Street Beat. It's a highly refined Fred Perrin urban carry fixed blade and while it is not a high volume piece, it is too good to not have available."
Things could always change, but I'm Sal still feels the same way.

It's all about money I'm afraid...if things trickle down to nill sales it will go by the wayside as quick as any other...Doc :Dtsuki2000 wrote:Sal said this last December, though:

The Street Beat I ordered a month ago finally arrived today! (It was being held up by the out-of-stock G-10 Persian on the same order)
But they were both worth the wait! The Street Beat is just as nice as I expected. Lots of knife in a neat little package, and 1st rate fit and finish, and the micarta is beautiful. Great job on this one!

I loves me some Street Beat, so don't get me wrong, but I wish it would fit the hand better in an edge-forward Hammer Grip. The deep choil means that it fits perfectly in a Modified Filipino so it's kind of a moot point when you really get into it, but it's a gripe none the less. I deeply appreciate that it fits the hand very well in the inverted-edge grips as well as the more traditional edge-out grips. :)
