I have to echo the sentiment of one of my fellow forumites in this thread; I was not a fan of the Adventura design, but this one I like a lot!

I really like this one! I'm not new to knives by any means, but having just cut the dickens out of my finger two days ago, this knife looks like a winner! I love the large FFG blade and the security of the handle. The only thing I wonder about, is with the flat spine all the way through, it looks like your thumb rests directly over the compression lock. Is there any danger of accidentally releasing the blade, should your thumb bump the lock? After a while of hard cutting, when your hand starts getting tired, I could see myself starting to get a little sloppy over that lock...

Hey welcome aboard Niles :)

The compression lock takes quite a bit of emphasis to unlock. Not that it's difficult just more intentional.

This should be a great design for everyone!

Emphasis is good. Apparently I need all the protection I can get!

Great looking knife. Will probably get one when it comes out just because the design looks different.

Nice work, Alex! Count me in for a couple of them when they are issued.

Thanks for the production update, Sal.

It has been a while since I got that excited into a knife design.

Dialex, you got the first design that really excited me in the last 5 or so years,,,,

I WILL be getting that piece.

I haven't been able to buy a knife in the last 3 years (house, children, some problems...)

But that one is a sure to go.

I did like the Adventura to the extent that I have one despite hating SS handles. My big question was how this new model would fit my big hand. It fit just fine, so I'll be getting one.

Thanx much for the update, Sal! Looking forward to checking this one out and perhaps helping a boy (9) get more knife-capable with one!
