There were vague rumblings a while back of a possible Chinook IV but I haven't heard anything remotely concrete in regard to if, much less when, it will be produced.

I'd LOVE to see a retro design akin to my VG-10 Proto below --
-- fourth gen. IMHO should move over to S90V ideally, and a renaissance pursued harkening back to full liners, G-10 scales retained and a return to a similar blade profile as opposed to the FFG in the III.
This potential Chinook IV would have a HIGH BAR to clear when compared to the below:

I would pay easily 1/2 again more for such a Chinook IV concept, as I always felt the III wanting on so many levels (and 2/3rds the overall mass) by contrast.
Mr. Keating's involvement, sig and endorsement through developmental participation in a Gen IV design/construction would likely be a PITA to factor back in to the necessarily inflating sticker price after *all* would be said and done, and I'd like to see as well return to the initial blade profile -- More $$ still, but would be SO worth it.
