That's what I remember hearing too.

edit: found the link to the bladeforums reference. Someone said they couldn't find the Para 2 anywhere and there was speculation there were problems. Sal said (on 9/17):

Sorry 'bout that. We're between production runs. I guess we didn't make enough on the first run. Might be a month or so.

Thanks for digging up Sal's old post...I hope that is still the case, cause he said it exactly 1 month ago, so it could be pretty soon. I hope I don't have to wait till december to get my pre-order filled, only because I could use the money so I'm tempted to cancel it, but at the moment I'm waiting it out. I'd be ecstatic if my Para 2 shipped by Nov., hopefully that is the case. Thanks again for the comments and input guys!

I agree w/ you, Jon he did say that a month ago, but myself and others have been waiting almost five months. Seems kinda long for a simple production delay.

Yeah, that's why I made this thread, to see if there was something else going on because I ordered mine in July with an expected receipt in Aug. However, judging from Sal's post, it could be that we just missed the first production wave because there weren't enough made to fill all the pre-orders. I hope that's the case...that could mean that they're in production and could come in the next month. Either way I'm really excited for this one...can you tell? :D

I'd be curious for a more official updated word from a member of the Spyderco crew. I had heard the same thing, that there were issues still being sorted out, and that the knife was undergoing further testing. Perhaps this rumor could be confirmed or laid to rest?

It definitely would be nice to get an official word on this. I too am waiting on a Para 2 and would love to have just a ballpark idea as to when there would be more coming as well as what the exact cause of the holdup is. No problem either way though.

We’ll be shipping S90V Carbon Fiber in the next few weeks. The standard S30V will begin shipping again a few weeks after the sprint.
The schedule was tight and we’re a little delayed, but thanks for the patience.
