Mileage

Post by burntrice »

I've seen people talk about sharpening about once a month, I touch mine up at least once a week. This got me wondering if a use my knife more than most.
I'm currently using my delica 4 ffg.
I worked out in one week i cut.. (i only use my knifes at work)

9 meters of tape
6 meters of card
96 meters of paper
19 meters of shrink wrap
105 meters cardboard

This works out about 980 meters of 'stuff' cut per month or,
1.2 miles every two months!

What's your mileage?

My mileage varies....but so does the terrain I travel.

Some days I will cut 70 or so feet of tire sidewalls, and other days I will use the knife to scratch a lottery ticket and little else. YMMV?
Thanks,

Mileage would probably be the wrong word for me since I don't have a need for it during the week that much anymore...
