Scored my Grail(s).

#1

Post by JRSFITNESS »

I decided to finally pay whatever it took to get a Spyderco Q
(SBKC35), the serrated with the Spyderco bug logo cutout.

I went on ebay to look and instead found a Q blade of the flag design. I entered my first ever auction and won the bidding.

I contacted the seller and it turned out that he also had a a Q with the bug cutout so I will have them in hand by the middle of the week.

Then today I went to a knife/gun show and picked up a couple of used Spydies for $5 apiece.

All in all a good weekend for the collection.

Jrs, congrats on that Grail. Nice to see someone still interested in the Q. I picked up an MRI Q about a month ago. If you check out the link in my sig you'll see a few Qs :)

Nice job finding the Q's. Boxer got the MRI Q by outbidding me. Chris did you also get the Skull and cross bones? I missed on both, I've been throwing too much at every other knife I see that I can't live without. Dan

not me Dan. Skull and cross bones I have had for a while. The ones I need are getting pretty rare these days.

Hey Chris while you're here. The MRI has not been listed or mentioned on any of the sites. Do you have more information? Thanks, Dan
Ps: sorry if highjacking this post.

Someone on CPFMP had a Q with the Spyder cutout for a very nice price. It is one of my grails, too, but at the time I had like $10 short of the asking price.

I'll get one eventually.

Used Spydercos for $5 each?
He definitely wasn't at a Vegas gunshow!

Hi Chris,

I have to admit to you that I’m impressed. The last “Q” that I added to my “Q” collection was in October 2005. Any chance you can post a picture of your new MRI “Q”?

Odd observation

I have a Q Spyder in my display cabinet , my wife thinks it is cute ( ! ) and thinks it is her favorite . Odd thing is many people who see my collection always seem to be taken with this knife with others beside costs hundreds more in value .

Boxer93, thanks for the heads up about the link to your Q page. Now I have the skull and cross bones on my list of must haves.

Watch out for ebay!!!! Once I started buying knives on ebay, it was like a tsunami--I just bought, bought, bought--very "addicting."
