Looking for a certain pic here....or sth similar: Digi Camo in action

#1

Post by Murdoc »

Not too long ago, I saw a pic of a (Para?)Millie Digital Camo laying on the ground, more exactly on a paving stone in the backyard of the poster. It amazed me (and the OP) how well the camo blended in to the a bit dirty stone.

Since and while I am waiting for a BB Camo Millie to arrive, I wanted to show my people the pic and how well the digicamo works. The pic was either posted here or maybe @bladeforums Spydie forum or even somewhere else, but most likely here.
Does anybody remember that pic and where I can find it?

Now that I think of it, maybe we can even see some more pics with that theme, showing the digicamo pattern on a Spydie at work, hiding on natural (or whatever) backgrounds? I'd love to see some examples. I already found the one where the Millie lies on the bark of a tree with the butt end nearly invisible. Amazing. Who has more pics like that? Feel free to post here!

thanks for help and contributions

Finally found it!! Didn't blend it as great as I recalled, but still OK though, especially teh Para in the last pic:

I would like to see more examples of (Para)Mille Digi Camo specimens... Come on, I KNOW these pics are out there!! They don't need to be "in action", though. Just pics of Digi Camo handles... I'll shoot some pics of mine and post it here soon for a start.

Hey Don,

thanks!

It seems to be the same material as the Spyderco Digi Camo.

Looks great! Maybe we will see this Manix variant directly from Sal one day.

One "problem" with this is that no camo is really effective at close range. My monitor's too big, my living room's too small, or both, but if I stand back as far as I can, I can tell that the Manix's handle in Don's second picture is beginning to blend into the background. Another ten feet and I'd bet all I could see of the knife would be the blade and clip.

Alright, let's play find my digicam. All photos are 6MP so zoom as much as you need to.

Round 4: http://kyleb.org/images/digicam/41.jpg

It's hard for me to gauge how difficult this will be since I already know where they all are.

Wooo, Kingdomgone those were really hard! I guarantee no one can find all of those without looking at the close up! The only one I could find without the hint was 4

Awesome pics! For me it wasn't easy at all to find them, even after the closeup. I love thread like this.

KingdomGone, I still can't spot the knife in the first shot, even with the close-up! I can mange to see it in the others, even found it in the 3rd and 4th by myself, once I knew what to look for. More challenging than a round of "Spot the Ninja!" :D
