lol I tell myself, at least being addicted to knives leaves you with some something to show for it--people spend all their money on drugs, and end up on the street with nothing...if I spend all my money on spydies, I may end up on the street, but at least I'll still have a kickass knife collection :DClusterFlux wrote:I live about 20 miles away. That looks like a FFG Manix 2 second from left. Did you buy that on the same day also?freedoom wrote:While waiting for my manix's repair I saw too many shiny things at the SFO and went a wee bit overboard.
Ti Military
Perrin PPT
Balance
Delica 4 Combo Edge(got it free with the Balance, thanks guys)
Spyderco Bug USB flash drive
and a lovely bag to carry them all!
Some people like being able to browse the entire product range at their Golden showroom and pick-out what they want - the staff are apparently very helpful and the experience is great fun - some people will pay a bit more for that. The SFO also sells some items (forum knives, seconds etc.) that are not available through other traders. :)
My spydies: Squeak, Tenacious, Terzuola, D'Allara, UKPK CF peel-ply pre-production, UKPK CF smooth pre-production, UKPK G10 orange leaf-blade, UKPK FRN grey drop-point, UKPK FRN maroon leaf-blade, Bug ... all PE blades :)
Sounds like I am in the minority as I am buying every Spydies so long as looked interesting in the pictures and have good specs of course, with the exception of multiple copies of knives that I really love. :DChrisR wrote:Some people like being able to browse the entire product range at their Golden showroom and pick-out what they want - the staff are apparently very helpful and the experience is great fun - some people will pay a bit more for that. The SFO is more expensive no doubt about it, but i'd rather go over there and support the company directly. Also it's always nice talking to the people there. I went there a few weeks and talked to Gale Glesser for about an hour and a half. In my mind that is well worth the higher prices (plus you don't have to wait for shipping!).00max00 wrote:So why do you want buying from SFO?
