Ugly? I find it quite beautiful actually. Problem is, with so many new fine knives coming (the Balance, Paramillie II, translucent Manix and the Zulu) there will be no funds left for this one... :(

It's awesome IMO. I want one, and I'm going to use it.

I think this one, except if being VERY limited, will be quite a poor seller.
Sorry to say that.

Sorry, I would like to have Damascus blade, but blued bolsters with the weird groove absolutely killed my interest in this knife. Also too many screws.

Anyone heard any new news on this one? Or would you like to comment at all Sal? I'm very interested in this Delica and want to make sure I don't miss out on it. Thanks!

Geez $300, is it made from unobtainium?

The only thing i don't like is all the blue...i'd much rather it were earth tones of some color combo.

Ya I think $300 is a bit steep also. I would also like to see the blue bolsters changed to raw bead blasted ti. I think it would make it look a lot better. I still hope to get one though.

If I could justify it I would have one in a heartbeat. It is fairly normal for people to spend that much on some other production knives that I don't think are as nice as most Spyderos.

I think the simple fact that this has a Damascus blade will create enough demand for these to sell out and command high resale values.

However, I feel much the same as many other posters:
1. I am not liking these artificial blue jigged bone scales.
2. The groove in the bolster is also weird.
3. But by far my biggest complaint is all the pins and screws holding this thing together. This is not the level of craftsmanship I am used to seeing from Spyderco.

Just my opinion.

I have to agree. I was thinking about getting one and replacing the bone with some nice wood. But all the screws ruin the look for me - I've never seen so many screws on such a small knife...

I like it.
Something different.
I think it will look even better in person. ;)

Also, its real bone, just dyed blue.
I think..........

I like that it's a Delica and it has bolsters. That's where it stops. I've never been a fan of damascus as I don't think it's useful, it's just pretty (to some people). I just don't dig the blue jigged bone. It just seems out of place on this knife.

But hey............we all can't like all the same knives. ;)

Anyone know if these are going to be distributed through the usual retailers or is there gonna be a sign-up directly with Spyderco like the Forum knives?

I really dig it from the pics. To me it's a dark, cold, industrial interpretation of something traditional. 6 more days till I get my hands on it.

Sorry if my statement was ambiguous. I didn't mean to imply the bone was artificial. Rather, the blue dye gave them an artificial look.
