Just got a LAVA!

#1

Post by cosmo7809 »

Hey guys, just got a lava in the mail today and loving it already.

I wanted one for a while and waited until I found one for a good price... Which I did... 30 bucks!

Ergo's are just great and fits the hand like a glove. Chad designs some great knives between the "com" series and this knife fits right in.

I did not realize the blade was quite a bit smaller than the handle, but even so still a kick butt knife.

P.S- Although there is extra heft there is just something about SS spydies that I absolutely love!

Congrats! :)

The Lava is my most-used knife and packs a big punch for such a little blade. I love how SS is easy on my pants.

Enjoy!

Part of the blade is actually the handle. It is a pretty amazing knife. I love mine.

Just used the lil guy cut up an old nylon chair... Man did it just zip though.

On a side note, also used some other spydies. AssitII literally went though like it was cutting air, millie laughed in its destruction and Harpy didnt even flinch.

P.S- I have to remember NOT to have my shadow in the pictures ;)

I scored one a month or so ago. They are sweet little knives. It's so rare to find a blue state legal knife that actually has a comfortable handle.

I got two from a local shop before they went the way of the Dodo.

One is still wrapped and not a user.

The other had a minor mishap and got a scratch. So I had it bead blasted. Holy crap does it look totally different for the better.

Has the brushed titanium look.

The Lava model is a great piece of work. Excellent for smaller utility jobs, fits int he watch pocket of pants, and a great conversation piece.

The Lava is my favorite of Spyderco's LBKs by far. Comfortable full size handle + short blade is a nice combination. Just wish the tip was a bit pointier.
