I'm currently without Spydies right now. I sold all my remaining ones to buy one of my grail knives. I got a Large Regular Sebenza, and yes it is as good as they all say. I was actually doubtful, but except for the issue of having a thumbstud I think it is pretty much the perfect knife. I will likely get a Para 2 and the Balance is pretty sweet as well, so I'm not done with Spydies. One of my other non-spydie EDC's is a Benchmade 555 MiniGrip with Wilkins pale green G-10 scales and a STR lowrider clip.
Those who choose to live a life without risks, arrive safely at death's door.

When I'm not carrying Spyderco(UKPK ALLWAYS :D ), I can be found carrying my Sebenza, Umnumzaan, and BMs' Bonecollectors, or Rift.

The one non Spyderco that i really really loved was a Buck Rush. It was a little on the heavy side and was assisted open but of all the assisted open knives i've played with, this one had the most logical safety lock i've seen and worked fantastic. I lost it at a job and eventually i plan on buying another one. It really was a great knife. If i could get it in VG-10 and with a FRN or G10 handle it would really give my Delica a run for its money for EDC.

If I'm not carrying a Spydie I carry either a Leatherman Skeletool or Wave, other than that a Victorinox, usually the Explorer model.
Album of mods I've done http://www.spyderco.com/forums/album.php?albumid=97
I usually carry a UKPK but even though it complies with the law it's unwise to carry it in some parts of London.
For that reason I still keep and carry a few SAKs: either a black Spartan or a black Alox Pioneer for use in the city, or a realtree Huntsman for the suburbs.
Must also say I enjoyed seeing A.P.F.'s Buck, sweet knife!

I had a Wave Ti i think it was called, with the 154CM blade and it was super nice but it was really thick and heavy for pocket carry. If they'd make the whole skeleton out of titanium or do something to make it a lot lighter i'd be more inclined to carry one as my primary EDC. I just can't stand carrying anything in a belt pouch.ChapmanPreferred wrote:Leatherman Wave with no close second.

I love AMERICAN Schrades(Cases too-a little rich for teenage blood though). I grew up on them.Very good Grandpa and gentleman knives.Their carbon lockbacks were awesome! Never liked their Schrade stainless
+ <-- steels.I loved their carbon blades.Never ever seen a serrated Schrade. Thanks for the pic.I went modern/spyderco/stainless in the mid 1990s with a Police serrated. My Dad turned me on with a Gin 1 Mariner(Pops was a commercial fisherman among other things) but every funky now and then carry old Schrades??? Relapse for the old staglon haha.

How about this beast for my EDC
Boker Pry-mate
The name Pry Mate is derived from the staggeringly thick 7mm blade with awesome strength and cutting abilities. Designed by Danish knifemaker Jesper Voxnaes it is capable of some heavy work. It has a black micarta handle with deep thumb grooves making tough work very much easier. The N690BO stainless steel blade gives excellent edge retention. It is supplied with a kydex sheath and tek lock. It is available in two different sizes.

Japanese fork knife combo. You never know where a steak might pop up in the wilderness.
