Chinook 3 pivot screw question

#1

Post by Aedrick »

Hi, guys. I just got the Chinook 3. Freaking crazy looking knife, I love it! My question is how do I adjust the pivot screw. There's a torque pivot screw on both sides of the knife and when I turn one, the other turns. Do I need to use torque screw drivers for both sides simultaneously? I don't understand why this design is necessary.

Yes,two torx or two allen wrenches are your best bet. Spyderco ussually puts some lock tite in the threads so it dosen't loosen up easily ,same thing was with one of the tenacious handle screws, had to buy a new allen wrench set to get it undone.

Spyderco has never considered ease of disassembly by ELU's important.

I did buy another set of torx so I could adjust my 'nook 3's pivot.
