I never had the pleasure of owning a Worker or original Calypso... or a small Wegner.

- best wishes, Jazz.

Favorite out of production Spyderco:

The VG-10, G-10 Caly 3. Wow, what a knife. Just perfect for me in every way.

The ZDP Caly 3 and the Caly 3.5 are both nice but can't replace the VG10G10Caly3.

Second place: the Caly Jr.

Just...wow. Amazing function in such a lightweight knife.

I've always held a certain fondness for w couple models that I thought would re-surface one day. Here are a few:

Blackhawk

Co-Pilot

1*
If only there was Ti Para2 or H1 Assist...

Being relatively new to Spyderco I know there are more that I haven't seen, but so far I find these three quite appealing:

C73G2 Impala
C42 Viele
C34 Jess Horn White Micarta
-Jodi

It's not just in my head, it's in my heart.

Massad Ayoob by a slim margin

#75

Post by JD Spydo »

For me it's an extremely close call between the original JD Smith model and the immortal MASSAD AYOOB model. The Massad Ayoob wins by a very slim margin. Both are true Spyder HALL OF FAMERS  and both came out of the GOLDEN ERA of SPYDERS (1998-2003)

Probably my favorite discontinued work knife would have to be the Renegade

Starmate and C95 Manix. Luckily both are coming back so maybe I'll get some I actually hold on to.

JD,I remember a long while back when I first got into spydercos, about ten ,or so years ago I bought my first spydercos on clearance from Smoky Mountain Knife Works.
The Massad Ayoob, and a spyderco G10 rookie.I gave $44.95 for the ayoob, and 29.95 for the rookie, best deals I ever got.
