Cricket, Mouse, or Toad???

#1

Post by wayne »

I'm having a hard time deciding which of these to get for an all-purpose watch-pocket carry-anywhere. (All three wouldn't fit in my pocket too well (-: ). Any comparisons available?

Yes all three. Ok you said only one. I have and carry all 3 of them while at work. I am particularly fond of my cricket. BNutr you have to be a fan of the liner lock to use it. Actually it was this very knife that showed me the uses and benefits of the liner lock. The Toad is another really good "pocket" knife to carry while out or at work. The blade is not as big but it will do wonderful things also. My least fav or the 3 is the mouse (Don't yell to loud guys), but for my purposes in dress pants it is heavier and more noticable in my pocket. But it does have an awesome blade, great shape and great edge. Don't know if this helped but just my 2 cents worth.

Mouse. I've said it about a hundred times in a hundred different threads, I love this knife! It's tiny, perfect in the watch pocket, cuts MUCH bigger than it measures, has my favorite blade style, and looks super-cool. The VG-10 steel is my favorite, it gets scary sharp, is not difficult to sharpen, stays sharp forever and is extremely corrosion resistant. I carry mine in the watch pocket when I can but it spends ten hours a day inside my waistband at work (getting sweated on) with not a spot of trouble. Other than slicing hero sandwiches (hoagies, grinders, poor boys, wherever you're from) there's not much this little cutter can't do. I recommend it wholeheartedly and I'm not easily satisfied and very picky about my equipment. This is the best gadget of any kind that I acquired in 2000.
