Just got my newest Endura - maybe my EDC grail?

Post by Murdoc »

Hi folks,

I never really realized it, but over the years, I've accumulated quite a few Enduras (and a salty cousin). The newest addition is a G10 Endura FFG, which is unfortunately discontinued. Well, I am quite surprised and a little disappointed about its early discontinuation, since it has agood chance to enter my Top 5 of EDC Spydies... it's really **** near perfect for EDC carry IMO... right now, I change my EDC between this one and a purple E4 FFG. I just like the color.... ;)

And since I've acquired a new digital camera (Sony this time), I thought it was a good idea to re-shoot my group of Enduras and share them with you. The colors finally do match this time! The Casio I used before is oversaturating, but now we're coming closer to reality...Enjoy:

Polished the clip of the purple EDC (you know how black hourglass clips look like after a week of EDC...):

It really is a shame that the sales of the FFG G10 E4 weren't enough to keep it in the line-up... get one while you can, they're just great.

Love the collection, Eduras started my addiction. I think they are great. I have a purple and blue new E4, and I love that polished clip. I need to do that. I agree the G10E4's are so comfy in the hand, G10 is the best.

No matter what I carry or back and forth too, the Endura is what started it for me, and is what I ALWAYS seem to go back to.

Very much like being away and then returning home.

I have more Enduras than any other model of knife and I try to rotate through them all.

For work I have also tried many a knife. Some too heavy, some too bulky. But the Endura seems to always come back.

Im now trying the Endura Tip Down for work, simply because the rounded part of the handle goes into the pocket a lot easier from undr a duty belt and pistol.

I can say my ab-fab-fav Endura is the Black Blade Pacific Salt. I have come to love the barrel bolt clip.

I only need a few more to have most of the available 4th Gen Enduras.

I've always thought that the G10 Endura was the only Endura that was aesthetically pleasing to me. I gotta get one..
I used to NOT like thumbholes. Until I used one.
Just like I didn't like the look of Spyderco knives in general. Until I held one.

That sucks, I really like my G10 Endura... Did they discontinue the G10 FFG Delica too?

The Endura G10 listed at $159.95; the Delica G10 lists at $179.95.

Go figure.

The Delica is listed as in stock. The Endura is listed as out of stock, and has been sold elsewhere at close-out prices.

The G10 version is very nice, but at about half the price I would almost always choose a FRN FFG version instead. =\

The Endura is a good knife. I kind of wish I didn't sell mine. I'm sure I'll get another one in the future.

Thanks!

It's a Sony TX1 with the new Exmor R CCD. Works just fine... and can handle really CLOSE macro shots...

I have managed to spend a lot more on knives, but I have yet to find one that clearly demonstrates a better value than the Endura FFG.

Not only does it perform as well as knives that are considerably more money, it is easy to justify gifting it to just about anyone regardless of their level of appreciation for knives.
Thanks,
