Back to School......

Alright, so that rather sad time has once again befallen the Forum. <img src="sad.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> I know, it IS a good thing really. But, I just can't seem to fathom just how much time college is going to bite out of my <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> Forum time. I will be starting on August 20th, (Tuesday), on my sophmore year at Tri-State U. I will be taking 17 credit hours this semester which will be a wee bit of a jump for me. (I'll get used to it, I'm sure...<img src="tongue.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>)

So, how many <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> members are we going to loose to the halls of higher education? Let's hear about your school plans....<img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

Peace out y'all!

Michael Reinhold

PS. I'll still try to get on once in a while to check up on the latest Spydie News and such, but it'll probably be rather short due to all the homework I'll be tackling. (<img src="sad.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>)

was going to be starting Electrical Engineering this fall... but long story made short and all...
need 65%, had 55%... EXACT same course in HS as they give in 1st yr at SIAST(Kelsey)[due to my teacher in HS], so was going to allow it... not enough spots available this time around, I missed by 15 spots... Taking Nights Classes, Tuesday/Thursday, 3hrs, Sept 10 -- Dec 16th...
top of the list in the fall of 2003... 2 yrs here then 1 in SAIT(Calgary) for avionics... then down south!

I'm a Supervisor at the same College that I graduated from back in 1990 (I've worked there since late in '90). We start back up on the 23rd of September, so alot of my "free time" will be gone then, but I'll still be here everyday.

I'll be back at Uni for my Junior year, reasonably light load of 15 hours.

<img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>Nut- 17's doable, I've pulled it off before. Simply don't plan on sleep. <img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> I pulled 18 my freshman year, which is beyond human capability.

Keepin' it real...real sharp, that is.

Mike (SpyderNut),

What course of study are you following?

Jaxon,

I'm currently working on my bachlor's in Accounting, which requires 120 credit hours from TSU. (To get my CPA, I'll have to push an additional 30 hours to make 150 for the state of Indiana....<img src="sad.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>) But, I may use those 30 extra hours to begin on some engineering courses. We'll see what happens...<img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

S&S,

Are you sure there's life during college?! <img src="tongue.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> I only hope that I will have some downtime for zzzz's and other *required* stuff. <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

Cheers!

'Nut- It's all a matter of priority. That semester, I didn't have much of a life! However, once you pick 'n choose your courses (fun stuff in with the tough), life is pretty good.

Actually, I have 2 labs, which makes 15 more like 17.

Keepin' it real...real sharp, that is.

Linda, I share your pain.

Fellow forumites please forgive me the following: Midget, a word of caution, the city of Ann Arbor has a 3 inch limit law on the books. Anything larger is a felony CCW violation and a free trip to jail. Now I'm not telling you what to or not to carry, but what ever you do decide on PLEASE be careful. A2 is a great town. I hope your experince here is a great one.

hey, thanks for the heads up, nemo.

i read about that earlier on. but, i also did read something about it being allowed to carry a fixed blade of up to 4 inches. the 3 inch rule applies to folders only, right?

Just like Linda, I feel the nostalgy of the days I were a student... No spidies those times, just balisongs and girls <img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

Midget,

Your correct. 3 inches on folders and 4 on fixed. Although I'd advise against carrying a fixed blade. As I said before, A2 is a great town. Pretty laid back. It's one of the few areas where I don't feel the need to carry anything excessive.

Canton is two cities east of Ann Arbor. 10 to 15 miles away.
