I'm not a photographer but I figured I'd give it a shot. Zach did a really nice job on the scales.

That is a great idea. Too bad I used my shot already. :o At least you can use your own idea.Donut wrote:I was expecting to see some Spyderco action shots in these pictures. Someone outdoors, with a knife in hand actually doing something.
Yes, he did! I like how the colors of the scale compliment the flower pot in the background while the blue towel contrasts with them. :thumbup:dbcad wrote:I'm not a photographer but I figured I'd give it a shot. Zach did a really nice job on the scales.

^that's cool. that's what they are probably looking for. something different, unusual or unique. not just a knife in a pic but something that catches the eye. shadows, light, reflections etc etc. disappearing into the picture. flawless edging that completes the whole pic smoothly. not just the center.
great shot/idea. but maybe larger blade area to allow all letters legibly. or another mirror/camera trick for it to show up correctly written like normally written to match the box or something? anyway great job!
dbcad what's on the surface of the screw area? are they designs on the top of it? how?

Coffee before Conciousness
Why do people worry more if you argue with your voices than if you just talk with them? What about if you lose those arguements?
Slowly going crazy at work... they found a way to make the voices work too.

Thanks! Of all of the photos I took (200+) this was my favorite one. I was never really able to get all of the letterings reflected the way I wanted. If this photo does get chosen, and Spyderco would like me to retake it so that all of the lettering is shown, I would be more than happy to.SmoothOne25 wrote:^that's cool. that's what they are probably looking for. something different, unusual or unique. not just a knife in a pic but something that catches the eye. shadows, light, reflections etc etc. disappearing into the picture. flawless edging that completes the whole pic smoothly. not just the center.

Tuffthumbz, you might want to narrow that down to one picture. Per the directions, posting more than one picture invalidates all your entries. Limit one per customer.
You also need to put the name/model number of the knife either in the picture or in the text below the picture.Joyce Laituri wrote:The Rules:
A. One image submission per person. Entering multiple submissions will invalidate all of your submissions so choose your one pick carefully.
