I am on the couch again!

Just like the title say, "I am on the couch again!" . Man-o-man is it worth it.
I just took some pics of the new batch of Spydercos which got me in trouble:

I probably could of gotten away with 10 of them but when I saw the same knife(gray Delica Wave) but each have very different boxes and the wave insert is very different also. I couldn't decide so.........

but the weird thing is the DelicaWave knives are identical. I am perplexed!?!?!?

Spyderco started using new boxes a few years ago (they have done this a few times since starting) and you bought the same exact model but with different boxes is all. it is a nice knife, just think of it as a user and a ready back up just in case :D

No, not really, and if she is seriously going to make me I will more than likely roll out a bedroll on the floor.
Either way I will be consoling myself sharpening the "new Spydies".

Well then, it's good you bought two for the different inserts. :o

I was trying to decipher the models in that second picture, and down the left side you got two of the same Waved Delica and two of the same Waved Endura Trainer.

The Delicas have a different box and papers, which my wife did not understand either the "must have" nature of the purchase.
The Trainers actually make #'s 2and3 for me just because you can train by yourself but it(like most things in life) is more fun with a partner(s).

That is much better, thanks. :)

I don't know the Native well enough to know which ones you got, I recognize the Native III, the other I don't.

*edit* I looked it up, the Native Lightweight (or Native II), I like my lightweights. :)

The date codes on the two boxes show they come from two different years (8/07 and 7/08). Apparently the paperwork must have changed inside also.

Not sure that gives it collector appeal, unless you are a hardcore Delica collector.

On a side note, if I ever see an eBay listing that reads...

"RARE Spyderco Delica, Emerson Wave Feature, PRE-2007 Paperwork"

It might just make me throw up a little in my mouth. ;)

well my neck and back are stiff, I didn't think she would go through with it, but I had a campout on the floor last night. Now on the bright side I have a couple of really sharp knives. The regular Delica is able to shave at zero cant angle. It is one of the closest edges I have come to "scary sharp". I am extremely happy with the Spyderco products I have bought to date.
