For the love of Foliage Green G-10

So I've identified an emerging pattern in my collection, namely Foliage Green G-10 scales, as evidenced by my Para D2, Khukuri, Barong, E4 FG G-10, and Manix 2 FG G-10. I understand that some of you are not fans of FG G-10, but I like its understated look, especially with a flat black clip (I even ordered one for my Manix 2.)

This got me thinking about the other *locking* FG G-10 Spydies (I'm not yet a Slipit fan.) I've identified the following ones from a search of the Spyderco online catalog: D4, Dragonfly, JD Smith, Rock Lobstah, Rookie. Are there any discontinued ones that I've missed?

I think I'll set my sights next on the Rock Lobstah to bring more variety into my collection. :)

How about a family photo?

Have you had a slipit yet? I like them. If you're not stabbing anything, just doesn't matter (IMO).

A UKPK in each blade sure would fill out the family photo,...

The Military was available in FG.

Let me think:
-couple of Millies
-Para
-Endura
-Delica
-UKPK drop point

These are all i have in FG G10. At first I wasn't too keen on the color, but nowadays I quite like it, especially after polishing the clips on those knives. On One of the FG D2 Millies I went as far as removing the backspacer, to get get rid of anything black. Now it definetely looks like an up-scaled Para.

I like my Urban FG!
My only FG Spyderco, but I do like green G10, I have a lot of ranger green.

The D2 Millie would be cool to have, but I would probably have to trade away a D2 Para and a Manix 2 FG to get it. Hmmm...

BTW, there was also a FG Manix in 2008 I believe.

I only have a Barong and a D2 Para in FG, but I don't mind the color at all.

And this is just personal preference, but after switching the clips on my orange Millie and my Para, I kinda think the stainless clips look better on FG than the black ones. More understated and business-like, somehow...

agree, my D2 para looks so much better with the chromed clip, especially since none of the hardware is black

OK, I finally found some time to snap and post a couple of pics of my Foliage Green G-10 knives. I really like the low key appearance of the FG G-10 and black clips - I even put an Endura/Delica black clip on the Manix 2.

I'm now looking to add an FG G-10 Rock Lobster, Delica, Rookie and/or Millie to the collection. :)

I love the look of FG as well, but also prefer the stainless clip. If it were me, my primary objective would be the D2 Millie and the FG full-size Manix, but the Manix is my favorite knife.

Took the words right...err...off my keyboard. ;) I swapped clips on my Para and Military for chrome (and have natural low-ride STR titanium clips for them as well).

Gotta get a G10 Delica...
