Congratulations on getting one, and having the guts to use it  :D

all of a sudden I feel an urge to make a stew lolol. Just take care to keep the food out of the innards of the knife. My Sage chopped peppers and onions for my omelot this morning :D :spyder: 's in the kitchen is quality time. I agree with Seanski.

Well I've had it apart already so no big deal in complete tear downs for "food cleaning". I've been carrying this one off and on for a couple weeks now. Plus I've figured out a one hand open and and close method that keeps my from guillotining myself too.

Does it involve turning it over and pressing the spine against your leg or another convenient surface?

And you guys thought I was crazy for taking mine apart. I have to say though, I would never use mine for food prep because I didn't really enjoy putting it back together. Now my Millie on the other hand I use for just about everything and it is a lot easier to "field strip." My GF gets jealous when I tell her "I'm stripping Millie"

I use mine all the time...@ work, home, in the field, hiking, camping, etc. Love it  :D ! I feel it excels @ food prep, but maybe that's me...
