Post by Dagon »

Hi all,

Here's a look at the brand new and very interesting UK PK Lightweight. It's really splendid at the price and I think it will be very popular.

Are they shipping or is this a preview of a pre-release?

Thanks!

Boy, that was fast!! From mini-meet to youtube faster than a speeding spyderco. I was very pleased to see that the UK LW will have screw together construction, I didn't notice that when I looked at the catalog (even though photos in cat. do show screws).

Thank you. I appreciate your work

I'm not fully sure, but since it had a proper sticker on the box I think that release is imminent.

Probably not.

Usually I give myself more time to get to know a knife better before I make a clip but in this case my impressions overlap for a large part the experience I have with my beloved S30V UKPK.

Wow, that drop point looks so much better with some grind lines. Hollow ground is fine with me, as long as the blade isn't too thick for it, like my Ocelot - it makes it not-so-great-a-slicer. This thing... well, now I need a drop point and a leaf shaped blade...

Thanks for the review, Dagon. Excellent as always. I find the knives very appealing aside from the grind. I do understand that is a factor regarding cost but, personally, I would be willing to pay a little more for a FFG.

I like the look of the hollow-grind. The caly3-esque drop point looks like a mini manix 2.

Should touch up faster too. Since GIN1 isn't S30v that's prob not a bad thing.
