There wasn’t a Stand Down in Sandpoint until the members of the local VVA and VFW got it going. I will check out how to get one going if you’re interested. You might call the contact number at the closest Stand Down to you. If that link works then there are a number of contacts listed which might be the place to start. You also might consider calling one of the service groups VVA, VFW or American Legion. I do know the Veterans Administration doesn’t initiate Stand Down they support them. Sorry but that’s all the information I currently have. I’m just a worker bee here but I will follow through. There are way too many homeless and disadvantaged veterans in this country to ignore the issue.
Thanks for the bid

I want to thank all of you who have bid on and supported us in this endeavor, especially Sal and his crew. Every dollar we spend on food items has the purchase power of 4 to 5 dollars. This will go a long way in helping the needy veterans in our area. THANKS

THFH wrote: Inspired by Sal and Spyderco’s generosity, I thought of another idea to raise money for the local VVA chapter: I will auction off a 1994 Soldier of Fortune Limited Edition Spyderco Police model. This knife is factory engraved with the SOF logo and “15th SOF Convention 1994.”

Please note that the bidding starts at $100.00 with my bid. ****, I can ALWAYS use another Spyderco!

The knife came from a street knife class I taught at SOF in 1994. I am currently looking to see if I have one of the plastic Spyderco Police trainers that was used in the course to toss into the kitty that’s 50/50 at best seeing my barn looks like it’s been fragged a dozen times. I will keep looking since you people have been so generous in your bidding and support.

After Gail and Sal and Spyderco gave so generously it’ the least I can do. I am still trying to get Sal and Gail to make a showing, or to cut loose Kristy or Mike to come out and help out and have a presents at the Stand Down.

The little lady hit the mother load in the loft so there are two trainers in the pot.

Well, if I'm not mistaken, it is after noon MST on March 1st and I had the last bid. Thanks (I think) to:
Jabba359
spyderH508
Bluntrauma
and especially--boxer93 and Water Bug
for pushing me beyond my comfort zone in the bidding.
And thanks to THFH for providing the opportunity for me to be of service and Sal for setting the example. :spyder:
