I'm happy with the Matriarch being brown, I think it will look really good.

Well put JD!
and as said, one can RIT-dye the brown to black, if the color isn't that pleasing.

I like the idea of RIT dye on the Matriarch, as brown has to be my least favorite color (except maybe a desert tan shade). Would dying it black work? I really want to dye a White delica Orange but just haven't done it yet.

Any chance it won't be pinned construction? It would be a lot easier to whip up some custom scales...

Exactly. That's why I mentioned blue in my earlier post. :D

I'm just not so sure about BROWN!

And as far as RIT-dyeing goes, your only real color option will be black. I know others have RIT-dyed knives in other colors, but those knives started out as White ones. With something like brown I'm not sure you could do any color except black.

I will be getting them regardless, but I just wish they were going to be in a different color. Just a personal preference.

I´ll get one, don´t care for the color. I´m just not sure if I should get a plain or a serrated one. Or both?

dislike brown. hope they change it to a different neutral colour like grey (my personal fav) or foliage green.

that being said, I'd like one in PE and SE.

I wished it were a framelock, even if it's made in Taiwan.

The real question is, would PE or SE be more effective on this blade shape?

I'm another guy looking forward to the brown color.

The mocha brown micarta scales on the Temperance II are nice looking, so I'm confident that an attractive brown shade in the FRN can be achieved too.

For some reason I'm picturing 1970's lamp cord brown...that really dark ugly brown color that was replaced by black somewhere thereafter. Thinking it's realistically probably more of a tan-brown though.

I agree, that's why I will be getting one of each (at least) anyway. And it is supposed to be FRN, not Micarta, at least from what has been said so far.
