Perhaps... :D
It Is a sweet looking knife at a terrific price IMO. Really on the fence though. As much as I like it I really don't think it would see much pocket time. I've been trying to curtail buying "eye candy" that I doubt I'll ever really use....

I thought it was another Taiwan model...
Edit - but it's ZDP so it has to be Japan, right?

If it's ZDP-189, I believe that means it had to be made in Japan.

So did I based on the construction and similarities to the Sage 1 and whatnot, but I'm pretty sure that ZDP-189 is one of those steels that stays Japanese only. Propietary heat treats and whatnot.

I would say it's quite different
As far as I can see, typical Seki City shiney CF, steel liner, normal pivot and clip.
The Swiss C22 is more 'matt' and has a blue'ed titanium clip & liner.

The 'old' C 22 was rather expensive (MSRP $ 299.95 in 1998), the new one is 'only' $ 179.95 .
I think, that's the reason why there's no titanium on the new one.
