I would not of bought them if i knew this. After a bunch of emails with no response from them I left them negative feedback. Now they wont let me bid on there items. Just a heads up.

Seems to me that the OP was implying what he said and you were inferring this message.
If the product description/picture did not match the product I can see how it could confuse the buyer. There is no reason to be upset by the reaction from the forum. In fact, about half-way down your response I said, "oh that makes perfect sense!"...then I kept reading.
Ultimately the overall tone of the response was much more bitter than the original concern. People have misunderstandings all the time and it's how we communicate and amend those misunderstandings that defines us as business people.
I think your marketing/PR person needs to post for you Jess. I don't mean this in a smarmy way but think you would sell more products by distancing your emotions a bit.
Ex:
"I'm terribly sorry if there was a misunderstanding. My ad was incorrect and I would be more than happy to accept a return with full refund upon inspection of the products. I had no intention of this and pride myself on integrity. The Spyderco community is very important to me."
This would have saved potential business from random passerby's and current loyalists.
See you next month.

Would you like me to take a pic of the entire knife for you? Will that make you reply to your ebay emails next time?JspyEDC wrote:

Now we know he does not concern him self with these kind of business practices but this is exactly what I thought would happen when I emaild his business. I could get my money back or exchange the item. I am really surprised he didnt bring this up in his post. I really hate when I spend my hard earned money with a company only to feel duped in the end. ThanksBlerv wrote:

This is a LIE and WRONG. The TWO KNIVES, Blue and Green FRN were BOTH etched I bought from Spidie Guys. I will take a pic if you like.JspyEDC wrote:The knife mentioned in this thread, and the only knife that's etched with "SpydieGuys.com" is the blue frn Blade-Tech Mouse Lite. There were 1,000 made and spydieguys has the exclusive on the 1,000 made in the blue color. We got them delivered 250 pieces at a time. The third batch (and 4th and final) was etched at the factory without our knowledge until mentioned by a buyer some time after delivering over 50 or so pieces with the etching. We do not have any remaining without the etching. We do need to change the listing description, thanks for the heads up.

I agree, sometimes it is best to say little. The more some people talk, the more likely they are to say something they shouldn't have. Perhaps trying to defend your business practices and mistakes is not really having the desired effect.Blerv wrote:Ultimately the overall tone of the response was much more bitter than the original concern. My Thoughts
For the record I do not do business with this company . Price is an issue and his take on the Forum Native was well rather in your face , and a real turn off for me . As has been said , not happy buy elsewhere , why waste your time complaining when you can buy elsewhere and enjoy . Regards MG2
Never bought from Spydieguys and I very much doubt I will either. (Attitude/forum native)
I like to support New Graham and also Cuttleryshoppe. Besides them I love to support my fellow forumites.
I need the spydies they need the cash. It's a WIN WIN :D
take care guys

Wow, jess is really gaining a lot of customers on this issue. You would think he would want to make it right and try to turn around his image on the site that probably buys the most spydies per capita. Oh well we cannot expect spyderco like CS and ethics from everyone

Delica and Endura are great knives! They're the low priced crack samples that'll get you hooked on spyderco! Feed the need!

Wait to go spydieguys! Deliver crap and then make yourself look like a liar or just a guy that has no clue as to what product his company is selling, then pass the buck of you're company blowing off emails. I was not fully fully turned off by spydieguys but the response and bs sealed the deal. I WILL NEVER EVER BUY FROM THEM! Get your crap together spydieguys. You're supposed to be running a business and solving problems not passing the buck. And this on top of you listing items you don't have yet and auctioning off knives that you should be selling on preorder at a fair price.Spider bite wrote:HMMMMMMM! Here is the whole knife pic. Never mistake kindness for weakness.
I have seen a few of their auctions for knives with that on the blade. You could see it in pics though.I never had a problem with them with a few purchases I made or not even much of a problem with them selling the forum knife.I did have a problem with the BS rant he put up on you tube. That keeps me from ever buying from them again.

Hey dudes, apart from the fact that they are called Spydieguys, there isn't any reaason why we should keep on about this here. I found out that Blade tech is not Spyderco. This forum is Sal's and we shouldn't bring our disputes here. I have had other problems with SG in the past and I think that all that has had to be said has been.
This should go to other forums where there is a place for this. Jess has already made his appearance and from the looks of things, he is not going to change his ways.

I used to NOT like thumbholes. Until I used one.
Just like I didn't like the look of Spyderco knives in general. Until I held one.

I disagree. The issue should be brought up here so fellow knife brothers can be made aware of the situation and what they might be getting themselves into. I don't know about you, but I don't want to see any fellow forumites get taken for a ride. Keeping the issue hidden and in the dark is a dis-service to other enthusiasts. If, after reading through the posts here, someone still chooses to shop there then that is their choice but personally, I would appreciate the information to help me make an educated and informed decision.
