The hardest thing is patience and double checking everything as you go. Getting the holes in exactly the right place is tricky too. I made a set of scales that came out just a hair too small. Ended up being several hours of work with no usable product.

Oh well it was practice.
The tools I used include: hack saw, coping saw, vise, clamps, hand drill, dremel tool with lots of assorted bits, sanding drums and wheels, files, sand paper in various grades, a steady hand, shop vac, respirator & safety glasses. As mentioned the G-10 dust is nasty and gets everywhere, I try to use the shop vac to minimize floating dust. A drill press would be very handy, but I don't have one at this time.
